Everything else — a few missing shingles, a stain that is not growing, a gutter pulled loose — is urgent, not an emergency, and is better handled on a scheduled visit. The distinction is worth making because emergency response is disruptive and it is not free. If you are not sure which one you have, call and describe it. We would rather tell you it can wait until Tuesday than send a crew out at nine at night for something that could have waited.

What you can safely do: move belongings out of the way, put buckets under active drips, photograph everything before anything gets touched or cleaned up, and keep the receipts for anything you buy to limit the damage. Those photos and receipts matter later. When we tarp, it is fastened to hold through the next weather event rather than the next hour, which is a different job from a tarp thrown over and weighted down.

The decision about what happens next gets made afterwards, with footage and a written estimate, when you are not standing under a drip.
