When should you replace your gutters instead of repairing them?
Replace your gutters when the problem is the system itself, not one bad section. If two or more of these are true, repair only buys you a season:
Sagging or pulling away from the fascia
The hangers and often the fascia board behind them have failed.
Overflow in normal rain
The gutter is undersized or pitched wrong for your roof area.
Rust, holes, or separated seams on sectional gutters
Sealing one joint moves the leak to the next one.
Water pooling at the foundation or ice dams at the roof edge every winter
Drainage is failing along the whole run.

Seamless gutters vs. sectional gutters
Sectional gutters come in 10-foot pieces joined with slip connectors and sealant. Every joint is a future leak, and western Pennsylvania’s freeze-thaw winters find them fast. Seamless gutters are fabricated on-site to the exact length of each run, so the only joints are at corners and downspout outlets. They hold their shape better under snow and ice load, need less cleaning because debris has fewer places to catch, and look cleaner along the roofline. 5-inch or 6-inch gutters? How we size your system
Gutter size depends on roof area, roof pitch, and how much rain a storm can drop at once. Western PA averages more rain per year than Seattle, and summer thunderstorms deliver a lot of it in short bursts.
5-inch gutters handles most residential roof sections with standard pitch.
6-inch gutters is the right call for large roof planes, steep pitches that shed water fast, or metal roofs.
Downspouts are sized and placed to match: 2×3-inch for most runs, 3×4-inch where a big roof section drains to one corner.

What's included in our gutter installation?
Roofline inspection and measurement:
We measure every run and downspout drop, check the pitch, and look at the drip edge, fascia, and soffit. Rotten fascia gets flagged now, not after the new gutters are hanging on it. You get a written quote with the sizes and colors listed.
Sizing and color selection:
Most homes in our region take 5-inch K-style gutters; steep or large roof sections get 6-inch. You pick from a full range of factory-finish colors that match common siding and trim.
On-site fabrication and installation:
Our truck-mounted machine runs each gutter as one continuous piece, so there are no seams along the run to open up in a freeze-thaw cycle. We hang it with hidden hangers screwed into rafter tails, set the pitch toward the downspouts, and seal every corner and outlet.
Water test and walkthrough:
Before we leave, we run water through the system, confirm every downspout drains where it should, clean the site, and walk you through what was done.
Why have a roofing company install your gutters?
Gutters are the last two inches of your roof system. A gutter-only company hangs them on whatever fascia is there and leaves. We look at the whole roofline:

– Drip edge and underlayment — if the drip edge doesn’t overlap the gutter, water runs behind it and rots the fascia. We fix that while we’re there.

– Ice dams — poor drainage at the roof edge is one of the main causes of ice dams in Erie, Meadville, and the snowbelt. Correct pitch and clear downspouts are part of the fix.

The price depends on the total linear feet of gutter and downspout, the gutter size (5-inch or 6-inch), the number of corners and outlets, how many stories the crew is working from, and whether any fascia needs repair first. We measure on-site and give you a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises.
Most single-family homes are completed in one day. Because we fabricate seamless gutters on-site, there is no waiting on parts. Homes with fascia repair or three or more stories can take two days.
Yes. Metal roofs shed water and snow faster than shingles, so we usually size up to 6-inch gutters, add snow guards where needed, and use hangers rated for the added load. We install metal roofs too, so the gutters and the roof edge are designed together.
Yes. Adding gutter guards during installation is the most cost-effective time to do it, since the guards are fitted to the new gutter profile and installed in the same visit. Guards cut down on cleaning; they don’t eliminate it.
Yes, and it is the best time to do it. A new roof usually means a new drip edge, and gutters installed to that edge drain correctly from day one. We schedule the gutter crew right after the roof is done and match the gutter color to your new shingles or metal panels.
